Our Mission
Peruvian is better at Papi’s.
Our late founder, Carlos Montoya, envisioned a “pollería” (a Peruvian chicken joint), that not only offered rotisserie chicken, but also popular dishes of the flavorful Peruvian cuisine, at a high level of consistent quality and taste. A taste that feels like home.
Our Philosophy
Quality over quantity. Our menu is tailored to focus on what we do best.
“My goal with Papi’s Pollo’s was to disrupt the reputation that pollerías (Peruvian chicken joints) have earned in the DMV – that is, “to not get any but the chicken”.
Not at Papi’s. My father’s intent was *not* to offer an expansive menu, but rather a focused one. This allows our kitchen to place a special emphasis on preparing a limited number of dishes with consistent and exceptional quality and taste.
Among these include traditional and Wok-prepared dishes, such as our Peruvian fried rice, which has become a hit since our soft opening. Indulge in flavorful, typical Peruvian recipes such as Lomo Saltado, Bistec a Lo Pobre, Tallarin Saltado, and more.
At Papi’s, we strive to instill the confidence in our customers to step out of their comfort zone and “not just get the chicken”. Try it all.
